The critical path

The model project is built in 3D, then unstacks into a programme. The critical path lights up, float appears, and a late roof design pushes completion past the contract date (70 seconds).
Prospective and retrospective

At week 12 the future opens as a fan of possible outcomes and one forecast is drawn from it. At completion the as-built record is traced back and its critical path lights up (40 seconds).
Six methods, one project

Earned value

Hours per unit times quantity gives the planned hours, and the hours spent run past them. The contractor's own problems and flawed tender assumptions come out before the rest is claimed (30 seconds).
The measured mile

A settled run sets the rate, which is carried across the disrupted weeks: the gap is the loss, in productivity and in hours. Picking the best weeks is shown as a mistake (35 seconds).
